Comisariado por Blanca del Río “ Se trata de una imagen atravesada por varias franjas paralelas, ligeramente inclinadas, en tonos verdosos, amarillos o rojizos y con cierta textura, gracias a la multitud de motas que la componen, y entre las que se encuentra atrapada la circunferencia terrestre. ¿Qué pasaría si sacáramos esta instantánea de la secuencia histórica de las imágenes captadas de la Tierra? ¿Y si esta nos regalara otro tipo de conocimiento? ¿Uno que está alejado del científico, que no trata de narrarnos cómo son las cosas y cuyo valor no reside en representar algo ya existente?&nbsp; Y yendo un poco más allá, planteemos una serie de cuestiones generales: ¿Y si la fuerza de las imágenes residiera en que son capaces de introducir umbrales de variación y que se instituyen en su ser-ahí? ¿Y si fueran capaces de desbordar su propia escena y producir su propia realidad? Una serie de inquietudes parecidas se respiran en la práctica artística de Martínez Bellido. Habitar la oscuridad, adentrarse en el laberinto es una exposición en la que el artista experimenta con aparatos de observación (telescopio, microscopio o prismáticos) y fotográficos, y los despoja de su función original para ponerlos al servicio de la imaginación.” Extracto del texto escrito por Blanca del Río. Aprieto los ojos en la oscuridad es un proyecto sobre la capacidad imaginaria de los instrumentos de observación de la naturaleza. Su cuerpo está formado por huellas fotográficas realizadas sin cámara que toman de modelo las aberraciones y distorsiones que produce la luz al entrar en contacto con componentes ópticos extraídos de telescopios y prismáticos. unos objetos que están vinculados a la técnica fotográfica en concepto y apariencia desde su origen pero que a diferencia de ella son incapaces de fijar ninguna imagen en el tiempo. Queriendo indagar en esa idea de la amnesia del espejo y proseguir mi investigación plástica sobre los errores fotográficos, apliqué creativamente una anomalía lumínica que se da en los escáneres planos cuando se escanea una superficie espejada y documenté los espejos domésticos de cinco habitantes de Genalguacil. <img width="2880" height="1800" width_o="2880" height_o="1800"
